Welcome to my story!

I’m glad you’re here!

My name is Anna Seroshtanova, and I help ambitious professionals navigate existential crises, career transitions, identity shifts, and the deeper questions that often appear after external success has already been achieved.

Through a unique combination of existential coaching, astrology, and real-life corporate experience, I work with people who are asking:

“Who am I beyond my achievements?”
“What do I truly want?”
“What is the next chapter of my life supposed to be?”

Based in Houston, I work with clients internationally, especially professionals, immigrants, high achievers, and people going through periods of reinvention and self-discovery.

My Story

I was born in southern Kazakhstan, in the sunny city of Jambyl. From a very young age, I felt that my life existed somewhere beyond the familiar world around me. Education became my first path forward, and decades later, it still is.
My first “mini-immigration” happened when I moved to Saint Petersburg to pursue my bachelor’s degree in International Industrial Management. At the time, it felt like the logical and ambitious next step. But even there, I still carried the feeling of being “an outsider among my own people.” Everything changed during my second year of university.
In the winter of 2005, while living in a student dormitory outside Saint Petersburg, I came across an
article about the Work and Travel USA program. It sounded impossible — the kind of dream that belonged to someone else’s life.
A few months later, I landed in Houston for a summer job selling ice cream at the Houston Zoo. And for the first time in my life, I had a simple but undeniable feeling: I am home.

Building a Career and a Life in the United States

I returned to Houston the following summer and eventually earned my Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Houston. Like many immigrants and high achievers, I built my life through discipline, education, consistency, and an almost relentless drive for professional growth.

Eventually, that path led me to Shell, where I have spent more than a decade building my corporate career inside one of the world’s largest international companies. My career taught me how to think strategically, navigate complex systems, lead through uncertainty, and turn ideas into meaningful financial and organizational results. It also strengthened traits many ambitious professionals know well: hyper-responsibility, perfectionism, anxiety, and the constant pressure to achieve more.

When External Success Stops Feeling Enough

From the outside, my life looked successful: career, financial stability, travel, recognition, a home, professional status.
But internally, something still felt unresolved. My relationships repeated the same patterns. Achievement stopped creating lasting fulfillment. And eventually I realized that the next stage of growth was no longer external — it was internal. That realization became the beginning of my journey into astrology, self-awareness, embodiment work, and eventually existential coaching. What started as personal exploration gradually became a deep study of astrology, coaching, somatic practices, systems work, and human psychology. I was not looking for “magic answers.” I was looking for clarity. The kind of clarity where you can honestly say: “This is who I am. I understand myself. I trust myself. I know what I want — and I take responsibility for
my choices.”

The Work I Do Today

My work is deeply informed not only by professional training, but by lived experience.

Over the years, I have:
 built a successful corporate career in the United States,
 navigated immigration and identity shifts,
 healed from 18 years of compulsive overeating,
 developed a healthy and sustainable relationship with my body,
 built a calm and emotionally mature long-term relationship,
 and gone through my own existential and midlife transitions.

Today, I help other ambitious professionals do the same:
not simply achieve more — but understand themselves more deeply.
My clients often come to me when:
 external success no longer feels emotionally satisfying,
 they feel disconnected from themselves,
 they are questioning their career or identity,
 they are navigating burnout or major life transitions,
 or they want a more meaningful and aligned life.

Through coaching and astrology, I help clients reconnect external success with internal meaning, so achievement no longer comes at the expense of themselves.

Career growth as internal support

Career development has always been a powerful internal motivator for me – through horizontal and vertical growth, expanding influence, and financial well-being. I perceive every promotion as a vital social "like." One of the highlights of my achievements to date has been receiving a prestigious annual bonus from the company's top management – an all-expenses-paid trip to Singapore, personal congratulations from top management, and...a true star named after me!

Existential Crisis and the Next Level

It would seem that the relationship is there, the body is in balance, the career is built.
But at 39, a midlife crisis came to me with its important questions:

"What next?" and, most importantly, "Why?"

Through reflection, meditation, and annual work with forecasts (I make them for myself every year—and they surprisingly accurately reflect key milestones), I came to coaching as a logical continuation of my path—to work with the important life choices of ambitious professionals like myself.
